Austin Crute is back with his 2nd single of the year, “Element.” Produced by Kilo & 94skrt, the track features a distorted trap soul sound with a bounce you can bop to. Austin describes the self-written track as “a declaration of independence, self-confidence, and self-worth, and a celebration of team work.” Known for his multi-faceted talents and versatile sound, Austin again successfully blends the traits of r&b, pop, and trap music, with infectious melodies gliding between the hard hitting 808, stacking vocals with a Beyoncé-like presence.
Originally from Atlanta, Austin is currently finishing up his time at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. He broke into the entertainment industry at the age of 15 when he was a contestant on The Hub’s reality show, Majors and Minors, but he really left his mark after guest starring as “Black Justin Bieber” on Donald Glover’s Atlanta. With undeniable talent and an electrifying personality, he has continued to exhibit his artistry and establish himself as a force to be reckoned with, not only in the realms of film & television, but within the music industry as well. Drawing influence from his upbringing in the church – as well as from artists like Timbaland, Miley Cyrus, and Pharrell – Austin is redefining urban pop by drawing upon his animated idiosyncrasies and his experience growing up as a black Christian male in the pop culture epicenter that is Atlanta.
Moving forward as a triple-threat (vocalist, producer, and songwriter) artist, will continue to release new musical and visual content every month, with a new visual lined up to drop in April. He’ll also be appearing in the upcoming season of Netflix’s Orange is the New Black this summer.
