Young Australian beat maker Phoenix Manson has just released his debut single “Thursday” featuring the vocal styling of Charlotte Adelle –
Influenced by artists such as Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys and Lauren Hill, Phoenix Manson wrote this track while studying Music Production at Abbey Road Institute, Melbourne. Recorded and mixed in his home studio and mastered at Studios 301 in Sydney, this woozy, neo soul groove fused with the velvety vocals of Charlotte Adelle, sounds like late 90’s R&B with a modern twist.
100% produced, mixed and mastered on analogue equipment, Phoenix Manson has captured the vibe of lo-fi hip hop without the use any samples; not a single sound was generated on a computer. All sounds were recorded from vintage drum machines and synths.
“Thursday” is the first single from Phoenix Manson’s debut soulful EP called “WAVE LENGTH”, scheduled for release in November.
