“We’re celebrating complicated modern love in the age of excess and digital stardom. This is a Ragers love story…and of course, a party,” explain the group. “Even though love can sometimes leave us lost, it will all be Alright, we’re gonna be Alright!”
“Alright” is a hook laden anthem with touches of motown and soul alongside new school production and a touch of 90s hip hop. Lyrically it deals with complex matters of the heart and the excesses of instant gratification.
Since the group’s inception in 2013 they’ve remained somewhat of a mystery while garnering attention from both hip hop and pop tastemakers. The trio won over the scene with their eclectic mix of electronic, hip-hop and dreamy synth-flecked rock. Each of the members actually play instruments while merging electronic beats and gurgling bass lines. Their new album ‘Raw Footage’ out this June!
Ragers have always been somewhat of a mystery, since popping out of the darkness in late 2014. With 4 releases in as many years, Ragers have become an important cog in Montreal’s musical scene. Cumulating acclaim from The Fader, Complex and XXL Magazine, the band won over the scene with their eclectic mix of electronic, hip-hop and dreamy synth-flecked rock with live instruments. They consistently present a mutating showcase of new boundaries in urban electronic music. With their upcoming debut LP under Saboteur Records, Raw Footage, Ragers have returned to their roots, presenting a more vocal-heavy and stripped-down effort that is certain to amaze and surprise.
