"When the fighting has stopped, and the fallout has settled…"
— Fallout (@Fallout) May 30, 2018
Yes, Fallout fans get ready because Bethesda is blessing us once again with a new game “Fallout 76”. As many Fallout nerds can remember, Vault 76 was mentioned in Fallout 3 and its add-on Mothership Zeta, and Fallout 4. (For the newbies, Fallout 4 is a post-apocalyptic action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios).
The player assumes control of a character referred to as the “Sole Survivor”, who emerges from a long-term cryogenic stasis in Vault 111, an underground nuclear fallout shelter. After witnessing the murder of their spouse and kidnapping of their son, the Sole Survivor ventures out into the Commonwealth to search for their missing child. Fallout 4 also marks the first game in the series to feature full voice acting for the protagonist.
From what we know based off the trailer, Bethesda is clearly skipping 5 and headed to 2076 (hence 76), which only shows us inside the vault aka Fallout Shelter. But with the amount of add on and expansions between 3 and 4 especially with settlement building, we can only imagine what 76 will bring. Fallout 76 is just one of several major game reveals ahead of E3 in June. Bethesda also showed off the post-apocalyptic shooter Rage 2.
We expect to hear more about the game at Bethesda’s E3 press conference on June 10th.
