Introducing the James Hutchinson remix of ‘Fuel’ featured on the new CAii EP, Tangle. Giving the emotional track a bassy makeover, the remix shows a whole new side to CAii’s music. The result is a powerful club track inspired by Camelphat, Disciples and Meduza.
CAii is a singer, songwriter and producer from Manchester, UK who makes outspoken, defiant, autobiographical pop music referencing mental health issues, toxic relationships and her experience as a young woman in the modern world. Influenced by artists such as Banks, Fleetwood Mac and Nirvana, her songwriting fuses relatable, raw lyrics with dramatic production and soaring vocals culminating in her unique take on dark, electronic pop. She was one of Hoax Live’s semi-finalists for 2019 in their search for a support for Ed Sheeran on his Divide tour.
James Hutchinson is a DJ and producer also hailing from Manchester. His journey started in 2016 when he released his first progressive house track ‘Electric Ghost’. He has since released multiple tracks also regularly plays DJ sets within the North West. Influenced by producers such Tiesto, Tchami and Chocolate Puma, James produces deep house music containing powerful, rhythmic, bass heavy drops.
The Tangle is the second EP from CAii, continuing the story that begun in Tease. The EP is due for release on 29th November 2019, featuring three original tracks: Fuel, Stuck and Problem, along with a live studio cover of Wicked Game by Chris Isaak and the remix of Fuel. Tangle. features emotional and honest storytelling about someone trapped inside a toxic relationship, set to a synth pop soundscape with CAii’s smooth vocals tying the tracks together.
