On May 31st, the Swedish singer and songwriter Cecilia Kallin releases a spectacular music video in collaboration with South Africa Tourism. This is her third music video as a solo artist after the break-up from the pop group Timoteij.
Cecilia Kallin has been a part of the Swedish pop scene since 2010. Her career took off as the lead singer and guitarist in the girl band Timoteij, well-known in Sweden for their characteristic mix of pop and folk music.
In 2018 Kallin released her four first songs as a solo artist, of which the latest one has been streamed more than half a million times on Spotify alone.
The video to “Don’t You Wanna Know” is shot on beautiful locations in and around the nature reserve Blyde River Canyon in the north of South Africa. The photographer is Jesper Anhede, who also produced and directed the video together with the artist herself.
We found amazing shooting locations, and the recording itself became an adventure. In one scene I’m standing on the edge on top of a 94 m tall waterfall. Lucky I don’t have fear of heights, Cecilia Kallin says and smiles.
Up next, Cecilia Kallin will enjoy the Swedish summer, and also write on new material together with the widely acclaimed songwriters David Lindgren Zacharias and Bobby Ljunggren. She will also do a handful of acoustic concerts in Sweden.
