Phoenix, Arizona emcee and recording artist ColFax has been doing his thing for the last few years now. Dropping a good amount of music and videos helped him gain quite the buzz in the Southwest region.
Now the AZ rhymer is back with a brand new project titled, Dying Just To Make A Living. The 10-track LP follows the path of J. Cole with no features at all throughout the entirety.
The first half of the project has a very vintage feel to it. The boom-bap inspired production and pinpoint lyricism would’ve easily been at home in the ’90s. So it is only fitting that one of the standout tracks on the LP is called, “1995”. On the second act of ColFax’s latest offering, the production leans more towards the trap-fueled era of today while maintaining the same level of lyricism throughout the album.
A few of the standout cuts off of the project are the aforementioned, “1995“, “What It is”, and the title track, “Dying Just To Make A Living”. The prior two which both have an accompanying video.
