dEVOLVE’s 2018 has been highlighted by successful remixes for artists like The Weeknd, David Guetta, Bad Bunny, Charlie Puth while his single “Put It On” featuring Craigy T has racked up over 3.5 million spotify streams. Partner that with a live guest appearance on Apple Music’s Beats1, throwing a hugely successful Miami Music Week party that brought out everyone from Major Lazer to Nick Cannon to Bad Royale, Grandtheft and Happy Colors, and his first festival appearance at Northern Nights in North California, 2018 proves there’s definitely no stopping dEVOLVE.
dEVOLVE made his way onto the scene in 2016 and hasn’t lifted his foot off the pedal since. The Florida-based artist’s eclectic sound can be noted for its many influences as it features a spectrum of genres such as Caribbean dancehall, big room electronic music, trap, hip hop and various global bass rhythms.
dEVOLVE’s music has been supported by influential djs and media outlets around the world including Apple Beats 1, Major Lazer, Diplo, Henry Fong, Marshmello, MAKJ, The Chainsmokers, BBC Radio 1 & 1xtra and SiriusXM.
dEVOLVE’s breakout moment began late 2016 when he dropped “Higher!,” a club smashing collaboration with Red Rat that has racked up over 20 MILLION Spotify & Apple Music streams and has become a worldwide staple in the “Future Dancehall” / “Caribbean Dance Music” genre. Apple Music named it a “Beats1 Banger”, Spotify featured it on the top workout and Caribbean playlists around the world, and its heavy radio play in Jamaica helped to pave the way for dEVOLVE’s weekly radio show “dEVOLVE Radio” on FYAH 105, Jamaica’s top rated FM radio station.
2017 saw a string of both official and bootleg remixes from dEVOLVE gather widespread attention, putting his spin on tracks from Jillionaire, Sean Paul, Chance The Rapper, J Calvin, Calvin Harris and others. In June 2017, dEVOLVE dropped the Beatport.com chart topper “Monster”, a party rocker featuring Richie Loop that has garnered support from Dancehall DJs across the globe. To close out the year, dEVOLVE released a collaboration with Grammy Award winner Angela Hunte, titled “The Unknown”. In addition to all his successful releases, he was selected by Dancing Astronaut as one of their ‘5 Under 5K’ artists to watch, and was covered by media outlets across the EDM and music spectrum.
Closing out 2017 with two high profile guest appearances, dEVOLVE appeared on Major Lazer’s “Lazer Sound” show on Apple Music’s Beats1, and then for the first time on the world renowned Diplo & Friends on BBC Radio 1 & 1xtra.
