“I want my music to relate to like minds and invoke truth seeking. I’ve been at crossroads with life, my life, and thats what I talk about.” – Eubanks
While most artists going around, saying they are the “The King of R&B,” Queens artist, Paul Eubanks (Eubanks for short) is blazing his own trail for a minute now. He has been composing since the age of 10 and has never stopped refining his skills or changed who he is for the need of a look.
Influenced by artists such as Nas, Lauryn Hill, Jay Z and the Notorious B.I.G., Eubanks has developed his own niche and street credibility, artfully fusing universal themes with a fluid, one-of-a-kind delivery.
For the end of 2018, the Queens wordsmith brings to us his new single, “So Lonely”, a smoothed out ballad for today’s generation that speaks of love and loss. If you listen to some of the words carefully, you can hear him sing a piece of Brandy’s R&B hit, “Angel In Disguise”.
In 2014, he released his debut EP, Keeper of the Light and it was already deemed an amazing listening experience.
“I’ve been doing music for so long my catalogue is ripe which makes selecting tracks way easier,” states Eubanks. “But there are a number of variables in the music industry that take the focus off the consumer supporting an artist based on music alone so I have to embrace that balance. I bring a range of life experience which makes my music rich, unlike much of what I see in hip hop amongst most my peers.”
With an ultimate goal to be considered one of the best lyricist in his generation of Hip Hop and R&B, Eubanks is also focused on positioning himself to give back to not only his community but whatever area that lacks communal core values.
“So Lonely” is available to purchase or stream on all digital music platforms.
