Electronic hip hop duo Hermitude have released their brand new single ‘Northern Lights’ featuring Soaky and Vory. The track follows their recent release ‘Every Day’ which landed itself in more than 15 of Spotify’s New Music Friday playlists around the globe and comes just before their newly announced worldwide tour.
Co-written by multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated songwriter Soaky Siren and Grammy winning rapper Vory, the track signifies Hermitude’s most bright and brash release so far.
Hermitude said: “’Northern Lights’ is part homage to early dance and rave music, which we love, but also mixed with a signature Hermi drop that’s likely to blow a few wigs back! Having Soaky Siren and Vory on the track is the icing on the cake that makes it shine.”
Alongside the track, Hermitude announces their worldwide headline tour (August to December 2019), covering dates across North America, Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Last month, the duo announced two US festival dates – a headline show at Central Park Summerstage in NYC on June 22nd and a performance at Life Is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas (September 20-22), alongside artists like Chance The Rapper, Post Malone, Janelle Monaeand Vampire Weekend. Presale goes live on June 19 and 20, public on sale on June 21.
The Hermitude story is one marked by stark creative evolution, diversifying music styles and a hunger for constant elevation. Since the early 2000’s, El Gusto and Luke Dubs have been exploring the wide sonic territory both individual and group influences have formed. Their chemistry in the studio is undeniable and backed by a friendship that has seen the duo experience some incredible moments on stage and behind the scenes, Hermitude have remained one of Australia’s most endearing and popular acts.
