#THQPremiere: Izzy Strange – “A Good Day 2 B The Bad Guy”

Izzy Strange combines twenty-four months of strenuous work, an impressive list of guest features and two hometown friends to create the classic, “A Good Day 2 B The Bad Guy” album –

Two years ago, Pennsylvania emcee Izzy Strange made his first appearance as a solo artist. His freshman entry, “Dinner With My Enemies”, featured guests like Beasley’s Corner Bodega member Zeus and Mike Incite. It was produced by Nate Fox, a fellow Scottdale resident turned Grammy award winner. The album fared well online and would lead Izzy to fully focus on his solo career going forward.

After DWME, Strange became filled with an artistic hunger. Combined with a rigorous work ethic, he found himself searching out artists that he was strongly influenced by. That quest landed features from Eligh, Open Mike Eagle, Blu and Mick Jenkins. Unbeknownst to any of us, those songs would drive Izzy to a new pinnacle in his musical journey. That journey would be the creation of his sophomore album, “A Good Day 2 B The Bad Guy”.

Two whole years went into the making of the project. He’s reached new heights musically and is as fired up as ever to share his story. Strange once again taps Nate Fox for production as well as another hometown producer by the name of Casa Nada. Both producers provide awe inspiring instrumentals that bring out the best of Izzy.

Songs such as “At Home” and “No One But Me” are prime examples of this newly refined emcee who holds his own among elites. It’s the more personal songs that catapult Strange into a league all of his own though. The album’s first two tracks cut deeply into the soul. We find Strange opening up about his personal life and the woes of pursuing the dream of breaking into the industry.

With the use of fifteen songs, the Beasley’s Corner Bodega co-founder sets Hip Hop precedence. Nobody’s made being bad look this good. With six singles and two videos currently available, this small town resident has Hollywood visions and is determined as hell to make his name well known. With that said, THQ proudly premieres Izzy Strange’s new album, “A Good Day 2 B The Bad Guy”, enjoy!
