Seattle based indie artist Jay Loud has been on quite a ride over the last year or so. The once homeless rapper traveled from his home state of Indiana all the way to the Pacific Northwest to pursue his dreams. The move was part of a plan to connect with the burgeoning indie-label owner and entrepreneur Taj King. The result was a record deal with the new company and distribution through Cali powerhouse EMPIRE. Now with all his ducks in a row, the newcomer is set to blaze a trail all his own.
In anticipation of his upcoming 16-track project, Jay Loud has released his newest video, “Ice Cream Man”. The visual is a nod to the classic 90’s film, “Friday” with Jay reprising the role of Big Worm. Throughout the video, Loud is in Big Worm’s signature ice cream truck scouring the city streets for women and his money. The video was directed by Seth Ondrick and Chase Fade.
This new clip comes on the heels of his several other successful releases from the buzzing Seattle rapper including, “Lick” and “Zoom”. Both tracks were premiered via Elevator Magazine. You can watch the “Friday” inspired video for “Ice Cream Man” from Jay Loud below via YouTube.
