Versatile graphic designer/painter/producer/lyricist Jitta On The Track drops his new record “Tweekin”, out now via Indie-Pop’s artist incubator extension IP Labs, where he showcases his signature, polished flow and smooth verses wrapped around his southern-rap flare.
Jitta On The Track, aka Jordan Mackenzie, hails from New England. Spending his early years in South Florida, Jitta adopted a Southern rap style before heading Northeast to Connecticut where he honed his craft. With East Coast influences and a Southern background, Jitta developed a unique taste in music that comes to life on his own tracks. He was hand-picked to be the opener for Drake’s Club Paradise Tour, where he traveled the country with J. Cole, 2 Chainz, andWaka Flocka Flame. He has since traveled nationwide gaining a large, eclectic fan base that has carried him through two major mixtapes, numerous singles and countless live shows.
Jitta is also a visual artist – creating digital and painted works that challenge the viewer, often riffing on pop culture and mash up cartoons with influences that range from portraits of Aaliyah or Marilyn Monroe to Bob’s Burgers or The Simpsons. The first piece he sold was a deformed President Trump head. In the years since, he’s done work for Post Malone, other rap stars, his own creative content, and does brand work for big companies.
Jitta’s discography has everything from EDM-inspired pop records to hard-hitting squad anthems. In 2017, Jitta released his hit track “Dr. Phil,” a take on how Dr. Phil would feel in today’s world, “Dealing with crazy personalities and trying to create a positive outcome.”
