The celebratory ribbon cutting for the grand opening of Kaleidoscope Fitness Center was held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at the NOPD Education and Police Training Academy where Jesseca Dupart joined Mayor LaToya Cantrell and Police Chief Shaun Ferguson to introduce the facility to the public at large. The press conference was followed by an intimate tour inside the renovated physical development center.
“I am proud and honored to stand before you and officially rename the NOPD Education and Training Academy gym as Kaleidoscope Fitness Center. Thank you, Ms. Jesseca, for investing in our department’s future, in our recruits and officers to ensure they have the adequate equipment needed to prepare physically and mentally to protect and serve the city of New Orleans” – adds Police Chief Shaun Ferguson.
Mayor LaToya Cantrell spoke on Jesseca’s efforts as a partner, “This is a big deal, and it did not start with the introduction of Kaleidoscope Fitness Center. Ms. Jesseca’s investments in the NOPD did not start in any way with this fitness center for the greater good of the community. Her commitment has been long, and strong….and consistent.”
During the press conference, Dupart spoke on the physical development center to the attendees:
“I am honored to partner with the NOPD to welcome the Kaleidoscope Fitness Center. I believe together, we can make positive differences for the greater good of our culture and community. I feel so blessed to be able to invest in our public safety. I believe it is our responsibility to provide support and resources to the men and women that continue to protect and keep New Orleans safe.
