Kirill & Jaco aren’t the most likely duo you’d expect to be making noise in Toronto’s music scene. The two artists who hail from Cameroon and Russia respectively have linked up in Canada to take their music to the next level.
In August of this year, the pair dropped their newest mixtape titled, Elevation. The 11-track project features a lone guest appearance from Nk. It’s a nice introduction to what the two could accomplish together.
The two show no signs of slowing down with the recent release of a new video, “Hublot”, released on Nowhere S Records. The title of the song is a nod to the Swiss luxury watchmaker. The video was shot in downtown Toronto and features upcoming Instagram model Mary Elizabeth (@maryelizabethmcq).
The track is an 808-laced, auto-tuned, bass-heavy song with a very simple yet catchy hook. The verses are very boastful and emote emotions of luxury and money. Hopefully, they can turn this song into a check from the Swiss company!
I look forward to seeing what Kirill & Jaco have in store going forward and would love to hear them dig deeper in the future. Watch the video for “Hublot” from Nowhere S Records below via YouTube:
