Lauren Faith – Jheeze (Sam Wills Remix)

Lauren Faith is pleased to announce that her debut EP Cosmic is out now on Globe Town Records, featuring two unheard tracks, including a Kaytranada produced cut. Creating a delicate balance between R&B, soul and Jazz to hypnotic effect, Cosmic firmly positions the UK talent as an exciting young artist to watch.

“I called my EP Cosmic, as I’m fascinated by outer space and how listening to music can make you feel like you’re on another planet. I want to invite the listener to close their eyes and transport themselves to somewhere deep in their imagination”- Lauren Faith

Opening track Jheeze (Cosmic Love) shows Lauren once again partnering with Kaytranada on production duties, following from their collaboration on Lauren’s debut single Just a Little. This brand new song is driven by Lauren’s laid-back honeyed vocal combined with jazz leanings in the production. Previous self-produced single D.M.T. is seductive and subtle, taking the listener on a psychedelic trip to Lauren’s unique world through clever lyrics and swirling future jazz. The EP closes with the cinematic Searching, another self-produced track on which warm Jazz and funk inspirations blend, creating the perfect soundtrack to watch the sun go down.

Lauren Faith was born into a musical family and grew up listening to her mother’s vinyl collection which consisted of 70’s funk, Neo Soul and go-go. Lauren has carved her own path in music ever since, landing numerous cuts as a topliner and songwriter, including two tracks on Craig David’s UK number 1 album Following My Intuition. Her debut single Just a Little reached critical acclaim across blogs such as Pitchfork, EARMILK, Complex, Indie Shuffle, The Line of Best Fit, Nation of Billions and Clash plus gaining fans amongst DJs such as Radio 1’s Annie Mac and spins on Radio 1 Xtra, Beats 1 and Rinse FM.
