Nicki Minaj revealed on her Queen Radio show on Beats 1 last night that she is surprising her Barbies a week early with the release of her project “Queen”.
“So you guys, I’ll be back at 8 a.m. (PST) and I’ll play the album by 9 a.m. before the album is released noon Eastern,” “I was gonna play the album right now but someone f****d up,” “It’s a lot of corporate drama in here.”
Queen is the fourth studio album by Nicki Minaj, released by Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Republic Records today. It is Minaj’s first album in four years, following The Pinkprint (2014). It features production by J. Reid, Big Juice, Supa Dups, Beats Bailey, Messy and Ben Billions.
The album’s lead single, “Chun-Li”, was released on April 12, 2018, alongside the single “Barbie Tingz”. The second single, “Bed”, featuring American singer Ariana Grande, was released on June 14, 2018, alongside the album pre-order. A promotional single, “Rich Sex”, featuring American rapper Lil Wayne, was released on June 11. The album will be further promoted by NickiHndrxx Tour, an international co-headlining tour with American rapper Future, which is set to commence in late September 2018.
