Nolan The Ninja signs to Mello Music Group, drops “IMG”

Detroit, Michigan emcee Nolan The Ninja has just made a major announcement. The 26-year old rhymer has just signed a deal with Tucson, Arizona based record label, Mello Music Group.

The indie powerhouse has released albums from such artists as Ghostface Killah, Open Mike Eagle, Apollo Brown, and Pete Rock. In 2016 Forbes magazine called Mello Music Group the most successful indie-rap label of the decade. Now count the Michigan rapper as the newest artist to make MMG his home.

To celebrate his signing to Mello Music group Nolan The Ninja has released a new single for free titled, “IMG”. The smooth, laidback track was produced by Blaaqgold with cuts performed by Lord Gulley. The two and a half minute cut features Nolan spitting witty lyrics and wordplay while riding the beat perfectly.

I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what the pairing of MMG and Nolan will bring us, but so far it sounds good.
