Overseas artist OC makes his climatic debut with the full throttle single, “Skrrrt Riddim”
OC (as he is known by) is an acronym for Nigerian-born Canberra-based rapper, singer and songwriter Owen Chidi. Having had an early musical influence from across several backgrounds, he soon found his voice in hip hop and has been developing a unique sound ever since.
His art is inspired by the likes of Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole and Eminem and still bears influences from some of the pop music he grew up on. Combining soul-piercing bars with a melodic flow and an out-of-this-world on-stage energy and presence, OC has got an appealing versatility that is sure to captivate any audience within seconds. He headlined the miss Africa Canberra pageant in 2018 and has since gone ahead to place second at the annual lift off musical competition coupled with numerous live performances across the state.
His first show in 2019 (at the multicultural festival Canberra) was such an energetic experience nobody would forget anytime soon. With an ever-increasing audience and drive to produce better quality music, OC is one to watch to become a star in the nearest future.
