Canadian hip hop artist Ollie has released a new single. “Better With You” talks about the different feelings one can experience throughout real love. Written from the different perspectives of both Ollie and the girl he loves, “Better With You” emphasizes the importance of letting go of the past and allowing yourself to both live and love in the present moment. “Better With You” is one of seven tracks off of OLLIE’s forthcoming Maybe This Was Supposed To Happen EP, set for release on October 27.
Based out of a small town near Toronto, ON, Ollie first emerged on the hip hop scene after he dropped out of university and left his football career behind to pursue what he felt was his true purpose – music. Inspired by a variety of genres such as country, rock, and hip hop, he has developed a unique sound that blends R&B guitars, pop melodies and hard hitting rap verses together. Despite some major setbacks and a car accident that nearly took the lives of both him and his brother, Ollie has found ways to tell his story through music, where listeners can find comfort by knowing that they are never alone. Deep, meaningful, and real music is what Ollie prides himself on, with the phrase More Than Music serving as his mantra. With every song he makes, he stays true to those three words, never forgetting how or who got him to where he is today.
