PatAmbrosio taps producer Omito Beats for the jazzy sounds behind “It’s A Go”, featuring Roy the Savage –
PatAmbrosio is a New York based rapper and musician. A native New Yorker, Pat’s music and lyrics are inspired by a bevy of renowned golden age New York MC’s such as Jay-Z, The Notorious BIG, and Nas. The cadences, soul and elaborate emotion presented in his eclectic sound however, have been sculpted by his affinity for iconic R&B artists, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, and Stevie Wonder. With those two differentiating musical references comes a unique, yet classic sound.
Patrick fell in love with music at a young age, growing up in a household his father filled with the music of soulful artists such as Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye and Hip Hop artists such as the Fugees. As his love with music matured, his bond with art grew deeper, to a point where as a teenager, Patrick began performing poems and raps he had created at school and family events. Pursuing an entertainment career rather than achieving something more attainable proved to be a tall order. Pat felt strongly pressured to go into a more lucrative career, one that would also make his parents proud. At the behest of teachers, guidance counselors and his own doubts; Patrick cast his love of music aside and instead attended the University at Albany where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Accounting.
With that said, P.A. recently debuted a new song featuring Roy the Savage titled “It’s A Go”. With a sound similar to Curren$y and an older Kanye, P gets the green light to dash at the cash and goals he has set. Produced by Omito Beats, the slow horn-filled record can be heard below.
