After connecting with Grammy-nominated engineer Gary Bannister for “Think of You,” which has garnered almost 500K streams organically in a few short months, singer/songwriter Puku
(@Notpuku) liberates the official music video for “Don’t Call.” Serving as his official on-screen debut since professionally pursuing a career in music, it was directed by Khufu Najee – the visual visionary behind fellow budding crooner Elujay – and finds Puku wrestling with his own thoughts. The cinematic clip is a clear window into the artist’s universe and is as moody as it is beautiful, reflecting inwards and facing the Miami transplant emotions.
“Don’t Call is a song about someone moving away from you, though you constantly tried to give them the energy, you seemed to get pushed away. When I produced and wrote this song, I was at a point in my life where I felt distant from a lot of people that I truly believed in and genuinely tried to help grow, but I guess it wasn’t enough.”
