After amassing over 250k plays on Soundcloud, Boston’s Rosewood Bape finally releases the video for his soon-to-be breakout smash hit “Miss Me“, an insanely catchy melodic hustler’s anthem. Supported by everyone from Fabolous to A$AP Ferg, “Miss Me” video is directed by M9 with the track produced by Kin Rich.
Rosewood Bape has been connected to music since birth. Like many of rap’s elite, he grew up obsessing over the art form; he made his own renditions of popular songs that gained support in Massachusetts. To this day, he still writes and studies the structure of music itself In pursuit of the perfection that continuously eludes much of rap’s upcoming artists.
In 2015, things began to fall in place for him with the release of “Taxi,” a melodic, song-driven record that’s as catchy as it is envelope pushing. With over 315,000 listens so far on SoundCloud, it’s clear that he’s created something that’s attracted the ears of fans. Perhaps it’s the easy-going and charismatic aesthetic he’s built to support his sonic stylings that makes him so in demand. Whatever the case, there’s a blueprint for success here that’s currently in the works.
It’s only been bigger and better things since the release of “Taxi.” With the song gaining statewide prominence, Bape pushed the envelope even further. One of his follow-up singles, “REC” released through the popular PLAYRadio and accumulated more than 700,000 plays. He chooses to minimize releases and maximize their potential instead of over-saturating the game. It’s an approach that has worked tremendously. He has over 100,000 views on YouTube and over 1 million SoundCloud streams so far.
