Hailing from New York City, recording artist/producer Sophie Fay releases the visual for her latest single “Damaged”. Confident, controlled, and highly capable Sophie Fay shows her insightful lyricism and ultra-smooth sound on “Damaged”. Stocked full of vibes that expertly combine Rap/R&B, Sophie’s newest single delivers a chilled-out experience filled with portrait filtered visuals that intensely examines the inside of her mind.
Sophie opens up to her fans with fully giving them her true self. No hiding behind smiles, or self-medicating to deliver her message. The song is truly inspirational on being true to one’s self. Check the visual above and read a quote from Sophie about the song below:
“I recorded Damaged in August ‘17 and it was the turning point in my music; I decided to go for something more experimental and art-oriented. This song really means a lot to me because it’s a literal reflection of my mind. You can really hear the out of tune piano, the transition from R&B to Dancehall, the interlude, all that. Plus, the idea behind it is deeper than you may that think. I talk about how young people just waste their youth getting high, getting drunk; they don’t have a purpose and that’s why they decide to be just like everybody else.”
