Johnstown, PA-born and Los Angeles-based producer Steve James first caught fire in high school. His seminal remix of ZHU’s “Faded” topped the HypeMachine charts and became a mainstay on SiriusXM’s BPM. Relocating to the West Coast, he joined forces in the studio with songwriter extraordinaire Poo Bear and co-wrote and co-produced “Purpose” from Justin Bieber’s chart-dominating multiplatinum album of the same name. Opting to drop out of high school and move West, he collaborated with Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha on the double-platinum smash “In The Name of Love,” toured with Garrix, The Chainsmokers, and Matoma as well as produced for Little Mix, The Vamps, and Lights.
