While studying to become a bio-technologist, life took a dramatic turn when SUVI ended up auditioning for The American Idol equivalent in South India called Voice Hunt. She would go on to win amidst 6000 contestants. Before she knew it, a recording deal with Sony Music India came at the age of 18 as part of a band called S5. While still in college pursuing her degree SUVI recorded, toured and made public appearances to keep up with this newly attained persona.
After college, the Indian bred singer transitioned easily into being a Playback singer for the movies. After 3 years of being in this industry, SUVI felt like her creativity was boxed up. This led her to search for a way to expand. With a bachelors degree in Biotech and about 100 songs to her credit including a repertoire with A.R. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire), SUVI decided to uproot herself from a comfort zone and move to America.
Within 6 months of making this decision, she won a full ride scholarship to go to a music school in Los Angeles on Hollywood Blvd. Since then to now, after a 7-year struggle (which can be another story altogether for another time) she surfaces with “Wonder Woman”, which placed on a prime-time show on MTV called The Challenge.
