Introducing… The Kid Laroi.

Writing his debut EP ’14 with a dream’ at just 14 years old (which he released on his 15th birthday) Sydney-based The Kid Laroi has already started making waves in the hip hop world.

The EP features latest track Blessings, and is an emotional look at the gritty lifestyle of some of South Sydney’s teens growing up in a world without promise. Through his music, Laroi is learning to understand his life and relationships as they change around him, and how it’s shaping him into the person he wants to become.

His massive debut live performances (all in the last 2 months) were joining Manu Crooks on stage at Listen Out in front of 40,000 people, and then jumping up with Tkay Maidza at triple J’s One Night Stand festival for a special version of “Flexin’” before being invited to support LA RnB duo THEY. for their Sydney and Melbourne shows earlier in October.

Writing effortless blends of melodies and raps, Laroi writes all his own lyrics, and co-produces all his tracks with collaborator Miracle. Unphased by his young age, and armed with a growing understanding of his talent and self-worth, Laroi’s message is one of unwavering focus on executing his vision – music that gives a voice to the experiences of himself and the struggling forgotten youth of his neighbourhood.

Since the EP release, The Kid has already spent time in the studio with 6lack, and has a track in the works with Lil Skies (Lil Skies repped his verse on instagram – which has had over 1.6 million views). His remix of Drakes’ Nonstop Freestyle has also now had over 65k views.
